Resin Bound Driveway Dymchurch, Kent
Preparation Summary:
Here is a new driveway installation in Dymchurch, Kent By JD Drivestyle with a resin bound finish and cobble border.
We lifted off and removed the old block paving. We excavated the existing base foundation to insert a new Type 1 Base and put in new flat top edging kerbs around the driveway.
Along the elevated grass side, we put in a double strip of flat top edging kerbs and backfilled that area with some nice granite stone to create a low maintenance flower bed.
We laid in the cobble stone border apron at the start of the driveway which was individually set in concrete. The rest of the driveway had a base coat of permeable tarmac laid on it.
We replaced an old manhole cover in the driveway with a new recessed inspection chamber to help it blend in with the new surface.
Once the base tarmac had hardened, we applied the new resin bound finish to the driveway. The colour chosen was the silver granite range which we applied at 18mm thick on average, finishing flush with the edging.
