This was a block paving project that JD Drivestyle LTD recently finished in Sellindge Kent. We tackled two adjoined driveways and paved them in a matching style.
First, we removed the broken concrete panels and prepared the driveway for a new foundation. We put down a type 1 MOT stone base, compacted it, and topped it with heavy-duty protective membrane sheeting. To prevent water pooling on the driveway, we installed new ACO drains. We also laid brick-on-edge around the driveway and flat top kerbing across the front. All of these elements were firmly set in concrete. The main paving was laid in a traditional 90° pattern, using 'charcoal' and 'natural grey' paving blocks.
